Forget the existence of the material world as you let Bicep’s vibrations take over every cell in your mind and body. Your heartbeat is one with the music, and the only thing you can do is dance to the colorful beats, and feel your deepest emotions come to the surface.
With every song, Irish duo Bicep prove that their music is transcendent of any genre, style or era. From psychedelic vintage to sharp, modern pulses, Bicep is a gorgeous exploration of the variations of electronic music, and the emotions that techno can evoke.
For those who are new to the techno scene and would like more exposure, Bicep is a great starting point for mellow yet exciting, sorrowful yet dance-inducing electronic music. Turn up the music and simply let go of the mundane as Bicep takes you on a journey through your own inner mind, making you question the last time you really opened up to yourself and those around you.
Bicep is the project of Andy Ferguson and Matt McBriar, inspired by their love for various forms of disco, house, techno and dance music. Their humble beginnings began when the pair created their music blog Feel My Bicep and started DJ’ing around London. As the success of Feel My Bicep grew, so did Ferguson and McBriar’s desire to produce their own music.
Bicep’s 2017 self-titled album reached number 20 in the UK album chart, pushing their techno sound into the mainstream. The music video for the modest and nostalgic track “Glue” has now been viewed over 5 million times on YouTube.
Having played multiple sold out shows, Bicep is known to turn their music into visual works of art during live performances through the help of artist Zak Norman, featuring energetic graphics and a blinding light show. Bicep will be bringing their eclectic display to Berlin on November 28th at Astra Kulturhaus.
