Win tickets to Carl Craig Synthesizer Ensemble performing live @ Funkhaus April 5th

Carl Craig

The ambitious and famous American Dj is setting to ratify his extense musical background. Grammy-nominated Carl Craig will play in Berlin’s Funkhaus with a promising assembling of keyboardists and synthesizers, presenting a symphonic reimagining of his dancefloor productions.

Craig has been around the music scene since his debut in 1989, and for over two decades has been a front-runner for the techno revolution. Synthesizer Assemble, his last project with international roots dating back to 2008 in Paris and ten years in the making, is now finished and ready to be presented live for the huge crowd of techno lovers making life in Berlin.

During his trajectory, the American Dj has been involved among others with performers like LCD Soundsystem, Hot Chip, and Pet Shop Boys, making his approach to music a mix of high range genders where rock, jazz, and classical sounds have a place on the stage.

My livelihood is making music that I can perform, whether I’m doing orchestral production or modular strangeness or generating club music.

“My livelihood is making music that I can perform, whether I’m doing orchestral production or modular strangeness or generating club music. I don’t restrict myself (…) I defined myself by being who I am. The ultimate self-respect is when you say you’re going to do something and you go and do it to the best of your ability.”, states the DJ on his official website.

Craig’s artful and inexhaustible nature speaks for itself among the energy put in the multiple recording projects throughout his career including 69, BFC, C2, Innerzone Orchestra, No Boundaries, Psyche, Paperclip People and Tres Demented. His extense background of individual and collaborative productions include albums like “Throw” (1994), “Landcruising” (1995), “The Secret Tapes of Dr Eich” (1996), “Fabric 25” (2005), “ “Paris Live” (2007), “Sessions” (2008), “Recomposed” (with Moritz Von Oswald) (2008), “Last Decade” (2012), and more.
