Bloc Party are an English indie rock band, currently composed of Kele Okereke(lead vocals, rhythm guitar),
Bloc Party, the well established indie rock band formed around singer Kele Okereke, is coming to Berlin. They formed back in 1999 although they only settled on the name Bloc Party in 2003.
With their first album in 2005 they achieved platinum status as well as winning awards from PLUG and the NME. Their next two albums did almost equally well and they kept going great guns until they decided they need a break to do other stuff in 2009. Two years later they came back with another album which went into the UK charts at number three, but in 2013 they went their separate ways again. With a slight shuffle of members though they’re now back and ready for action. Check out the new, indier, rockier and harder than ever Bloc Party in Astra on the 29th November.
