The Fête de la Musique is of course a great party. But what do you when it ends?

Seeing as how the Fête runs from 4pm to 10pm, what do you do then? Just go home? I think not. Well, if you’re a fan of French music and of partying on until the small hours, then the French Night at Kesselhaus is for you! Kicking off at precisely the time when all the Fête stages close shop, ie 10pm, they’re the perfect people to make sure that the party goes on!

From 2004 the good people from Le Bureau Export  and What the France have been teaming up with Kesselhaus to put on the French Night, featuring the best of France’s music scene, both up and coming artists as well as more established ones.

In the 15th year, fresh sounds and new music acts can be discovered again at the French Night in the Kesselhaus of the Kulturbrauerei, this time with Malik Djoudi and Tambour Battant.

As always, admission is free.

Would we make you go there without the chance of winning something? Not us! That’s why indieBerlin, as official media partner of the night, has teamed up with Le Bureau Export and Kesselhaus to organise you a goodie bag, that’s right a goodie bag, how we love them, with the latest albums from the two artists, branded bag, stickers and all the stuff we know and love from goodie bags 🙂 Just shoot us a message here or write to win (at) indieberlin.de!

Daniel Winkel, the artistic director of Le Bureau Export had this to say:
“Le Bureau Export is a long-standing partner of the Fête de la Musique in Berlin, which since 1995 has presented a number of artists from France to the Berlin public: the local Fête has already offered a platform to artists as diverse as Khaled, Kent, the rock band Dionysos, the DJ and producer Frédéric Galliano, and singers Helena Noguerra and Jeanne Cherhal.

And we asked a couple of questions of Johannes Martin, press person at the Kesselhaus, too:

indieBerlin: Dear Johannes, what was your best memory at the Fête de la Musique?
Johannes Martin: Summer 2016. After an exciting midsummer day full of music and football, I stand on the gallery of the Kesselhaus around 1.30 a.m. and look at hundreds of enthusiastic visitors dancing and celebrating to the beats and experimental sounds of the electro musician Thylacine. Magic Moment.

indieBerlin: And what are your expectations for FETE 2019?
Johannes Martin: Three things: a brilliant time, discovering new sounds, and people coming together.

See you there! Come and party with us into le night
