The long-haired psychedelia bard from California will be playing at the Kantine am Berghain next Monday. Morgan Delt is currently on a European tour to promote Phase Zero which will be released on Sub Pop on August 26. Berlin based musician Slow Steve will be playing the warm-up show.

The follow up to his self-titled debut is his first on the Seattle label, and it seems, after listening to the album opening songs, that he won’t be experiencing the sophomore album slump. The tracks on Morgan Delt were a reminder that echo-y and hazy pop from the West Coast hadn’t yet disappeared. The two available songs from the latest record might just be small window to look through, but they sound great, and this might be confirmation he isn’t on the decline.

Have a listen to “I Don’t Wanna See What’s Happening Outside” off Phase Zero.

The doors of the Kantine am Berghain open at 2000 hours, and the first concert begins at 2100 hours. Tickets will be around €15 at the door.
