Its a busy time for Irish rocker Eamonn Dowd. Besides presenting his weekly Rock N Roots Show on Swedish radio, he is busy finishing tracks he started to record recently in Ireland and Belgium, and this week he’s playing two solo shows in Berlin, Tik Nord on Thursday 8th and Culture Container on Sunday 11. Both shows start at 9pm.
Since the mid 90’s Eamonn Dowd has been bringing his fiery brand of country / americana / rock ‘n’ roll to audiences far and wide, releasing eight albums along the way. In recent years Dowd has toured (with The Racketeers & solo) throughout Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Belgium, The Netherlands, Spain, Finland, Estonia, Austria, Switzerland, Czech, east coast USA and Canada.
Eamonn has also recorded with long time Berlin resident, the legendary and now sadly deceased Nikki Sudden, and this material eventually got to see the light of day on Sudden’s posthumous 6 CD box-set.
Olaf Tyaransen, the award winning novelist, poet and journalist reviewed a recent album for Hot press magazine and wrote... “Eamonn Dowd is one of the great survivors of Irish rock ‘n’ roll “
