IndieBerlin ventures to Munich for Forward Festival 2018

Forward Festival Munich

Are you a hipster?

Knowing full-well that 99.3% of Indie Berliners are hipsters, I’ll refine that question:

Are you a designer, or any other form of creative in the digital space?

Have we got exciting news for you this warm Wednesday —

IndieBerlin is headed to Forward Festival Munich to scope out the leading edge of digital communication. Two jam-packed days will witness how some of the wackiest minds in the industry are keeping commercial messages fresh and our eyes firmly glued to our devices.

If learning to be great is about first copying others, this is probably a good place to take some notes.

Study way-finding under the creative responsible for New York’s Times Square. Hear how the masters communicate jillions of words with the right images, keeping consumerism solidly at number one of contemporary religions.

Determine how to surprise clients, break all the rules of advertising school, and add a little architecture in there too. Grasp how one pushes lo-fi so far it becomes so-right. And then completely drop all this new knowledge while you’re having a dance at the after-party.

Munich’s event will host ‘absurdist’ Erik Kessels, nitty-gritty human capturer @boogiephotographer, new-realists from Wieden+Kennedy

The busy folks at Forward Creatives have rounded up an interdisciplinary crew of speakers for 2018’s series of conferences around Central Europe. Munich’s event will host ‘absurdist’ Erik Kessels, nitty-gritty human capturer @boogiephotographer, new-realists from Wieden+Kennedy, and plenty of others just doing their thing and getting noticed.

Dedicate the last Wednesday and Thursday of May (30 & 31/05) to a little opening of the eyes, and join IndieBerlin in Bavarialand for the most original of fireside chats. Tickets are still available here BUT you probably want to grab one before they jump up to a ‘late-bird’ price 😉

If you can’t possibly make it to the festival, join me back here afterwards for my in-depth de-brief.
