indieberlin presents THEA HJELMELAND playing at Neue Kammerspiele

On monday, 2nd of September, Thea Hjelmeland is playing at Neue Kammerspiele in Kleinmachnow – we are very excited and happy about the show and if you feel the same and would like to win 1×2 tickets, feel free to email us: – and you might get lucky…

After living four years in Paris, 24 year old polar princess Thea Hjelmeland moved home to Bergen, Norway to release her debut album ”Oh The Third…” in 2012. The album got great reviews, and she followed up with an amazing release performance at by: Larm in Oslo. Several journalists mentioned her as one of the highlights of the festival, and her performance also impressed the Norwegian best selling artist Jarle Bernhoft that invited her to play with him on his European Tour a month later.

Inspired by historical strong women, she goes alone on stage accompanied by her mandolin, banjo, guitar and ukulele, and with her brilliant voice and magical presence she creates her own little musical universe that gives you hints of flamenco and fado, sparks of Balkan and Bollywood music, the feel of jazz, a touch of Norwegian folk music, as well as stand out pop melodies.

In September 2013 Thea is planning to release an EP in GAS, France and Benelux with highlights from the debut album. Her second album will be ready for release in the same territories together with Scandinavia spring 2014.

Entrance: 10€
