If you are looking for an opportunity to enjoy uncompromised music, do not miss out La Roux on the 4th December in Astra Kulturhaus in Berlin.
La Roux was consisted of Elly Jackson and record producer Ben Langmaid.
After parting ways, it’s all about Elly Jackson. Her signature reddish toned hair and her androgynous style consummate her soprano vocal range. Singer and songwriter with a synthpop sound, Jackson is what I would call different.
The pop sounds with a major electronic intrusion are the result of Jackson’s unhappiness with what she perceives as a “normality” fashion trend among a majority of today’s musical acts.
With influence from Joni Mitchel to rave music, the unique amalgamation led to various hits as “Bulletproof” and “In for the kill” which we all have heard.
Worth to say is that the interesting and inviting melody and beats, bring a dancing disco mood on the floor. So get ready for original sounds and a groovy attitude!
