Album Review // Bleached : Ride Your Heart

Taken by faithsilva

Everyone’s favourite dreamy post-punk babes, Bleached, released their debut full-length album this week via  Dead Oceans/Cargo Records. Jessica and Jennifer Claven (yes, sisters) were initially part of the band Mika Miko, and left to develop their own sound and have more control over their work. Ride Your Heart is the newest addition to the already sterling reputation of the bands releases. Now on a new label, the band’s sound has become the most polished that we’ve seen yet. Taking inspiration from bands like The Slits and Fleetwood Mac, the girls have developed personal sound that’s easily relatable. Strong guitar and angsty lyrics about love and loss are swirled with a 60’s inspired pop vibe, making it the perfect summer album. Stream the full album via FADER here.
