Deafheaven are undoubtedly one of the most interesting acts of the last years. Metal or not, reformists or just another marketing gimmick, it doesn’t really matter.
Deafheaven have already released two of the biggest albums of the last 4 years. Their debut album, Sunbather, is for the 2010s what MBV’s Loveless was for the 90s. A model classic, a record that is by far one of the best in any genre and pushes pop music to its limits.

Supported by Myrkur, the polarising one-woman black metal musical project from Denmark, Deafheaven play live at Musik und Frieden on 24th of March. For those of you that love to investigate music’s unexplored areas might be the event of the month. For sure it’s a gig that can’t be missed if Sigur Ros, Mogwai or Godspeed You! Black Emperor sometimes sound
too soft for you.
