Alberta Cross are one of the few bands who have proved their mettle the hard way: through touring everywhere all the time. What bands used to do as a matter of course but today is seen as the reserve of the slightly insane. And in the few years that they’ve been around, they’ve played support slots for the biggest touring acts today: Oasis, Neil Young, The Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Mumford And Sons, The Shins, Bat for Lashes, Simian Mobile Disco, Findlay Brown…the list goes on.
But they’re not at support band level anymore. This most energized and exciting of bands – consisting essentially of two men from very different backgrounds with a common love of a particular brand of rock n roll – have upped the ante with pretty much everything they’ve done since they began. No slackers these.
Alberta Cross are live in Comet Club tonight, and indieberlin is giving away 2×2 tickets for the show….just write us at email@example.com and tell us where the two boys come from….no, it’s not Alberta, and no, neither of them are from the deep south….
