Banglist is back with a bang – make sure you check them out this weekend

We don’t get blown away often, but every now and then a band comes along that does weird things with our socks…the Scandinavian alt-pop group Banglist is one of those bands you’d better get along and see while they’re still (somewhat) unknown…you haven’t got much time now….but you’re in luck: They’re playing a show at unterRock this Saturday. The 4-piece Icelandic/Norwegian group combines elements of electronic pop and alternative rock with influences drawn from Abba, Arcade Fire, Robyn and Tame Impala – to name a few. Banglist always delivers a powerful yet strangely intimate performance, they’re always on fire, and they always take the audience on a roller-coaster ride of music and emotion with them…

Noel Maurice is one of the founders of indieberlin. Originally from the UK via a childhood in Johannesburg, he has been resident in Berlin since 1991. Describing himself as a ‘recovering musician’, he is the author of The Berlin Diaires, a trilogy detailing the East Berlin art and squat scene of the early 90s, available on Amazon and through this site.
