Mario Testino needs no introduction: one of the best known photographers of the present day, his iconic images celebrating sex and celebrity, as well as more traditional portrait work such as his famous shoot with Princess Diana shortly before her death, has made him famous. He’s worked with everybody – from Kate Moss to Lady Gaga and Madonna, to Princess Di and Anna Wintour…it’s incredible.
Poses, clothes and situations that are just plain weird
His first exhibition of work in Europe is taking place at the moment in the Kulturforum at Potsdamer Platz, called In Your Face, that’s exactly what it is. Huge prints of thoroughly famous people in poses, clothes and situations that are just plain weird adorn four large rooms where you stand in semi-darkness to marvel at the brighly lit and highly colourful prints.
It’s well worth a visit, it’s 9 Euros entry or 4,50 Euros reduced, and it’s the absolute best antidote to the Berlin February blues and greys.
