Review - Paul Green's Berlin Burlesque book launch 30.11 in Wye Gallery - a night to remember
Article published on Sat Dec 1, 2012 by indieberlin.de
A large white brightly lit gallery adorned with photos of beautiful creatures swathed in furs and feathers, in various stages of undress; live performances from women dripping with blood, devouring supposed body parts from her hapless lover while shimmying painfully slowly out of scanty undergarments; a sense of excitement and that indefinable something that lets you know that tonight, you’re where everyone in the know is – and where everyone else would want to be if they knew about it.>>follow the article
funkyrotic art about a photograph's soul, the positive energy of being sexy and the creative scene in Berlin
Article published on Wed Nov 14, 2012 by indieberlin.de
The funkyrotic art project has just been back from a promotion tour with fresh ideas and new impulses. The German artist tells us about her art, projects in progress and emotions and people involved.
1. Where do you get your inspiration? Advertising, movies, fashion magazines – basically anything that plays with roles – is slipping into weird characters or playing with sterotypes.
2. Do you feel Berlin is a city that encourages the creative spirit? I feel that Berlin is a city that attracts a lot of artists. Berlin is a diverse city where each “Bezirk” is like an own little town. And: Berlin is a city where the underground plays a big and accepted role. If you made it underground your value and appreciation is more profound than if you had been shown in a big gallery. That’s not true though but it is a nice feeling that encourages young artists to express themselves.>>follow the article
It's Sunday Soirée time again at the Primitiv Bar - and we've got 1x2 tickets to give away
Article published on Sat Nov 10, 2012 by indieberlin.de
This will be the third Sunday Soiree presented by Bravo Burlesque and already word seems to have spread. At the first one in September the intrepid indieberlin team managed to get there around 9ish and slide into a couple of chairs not far from the stage - and with space for a tripod too! By October however the same technique didn't work - the place was full and any hint of trying to place a tripod seemed to be an exercise in innapropriateness. >>follow the article

It's Sunday Soiree time again TOMORROW - to give you a little appetite read what happened last time....
Article published on Sat Oct 13, 2012 by indieberlin.de
On a quiet Sunday night at the beginning of September I found myself on a street in Friedrichshain walking across the road towards a bar called Primitiv. No quiet Sunday night drinking crowd in here, even though it was still early the first hints that tonight was no ordinary night were already in evidence. Tonight was to be the opening night of the new Burlesque Sunday Soiree series and I was here for only the most high-minded professional reasons.>>follow the article

>>follow the article
