Ghost Capsules in Bi Nuu on the 1st June - 2x2 tickets to win

Ghost Capsules in Bi Nuu on the 1st June - 2x2 tickets to win

Electro quartet Ghost Capsules can trace their beginnings back to a Bomb The Bass gig in Vienna. Here it was that Tim Simenon, touring the 'Back To Light' album, met his support band that featured drummer Roman Lugmayr and keyboard player Georg Lichtenauer. The three hit it off, so much so that Tim relocated from Amsterdam to the Austrian capital. Here the missing piece for the Ghost Capsules jigsaw was found in singer Laura Gomez, who Tim had booked to play at one of his club nights. Proof positive that there's no business as sociable as music.
Current Swell is riding a wave that keeps on getting bigger - live in Comet on 11.6 and we've got tickets

Current Swell is riding a wave that keeps on getting bigger - live in Comet on 11.6 and we've got tickets

The members of Current Swell no longer live together under a single roof — as they did years ago, when the group first came together as a unit — but the bond between the four friends is stronger than ever. Touring the world for the better part of five years, from Brazil to Australia, often has that effect. Current Swell’s years of experience on the road can be heard — and felt — in the nooks and crannies of Long Time Ago, the new full-length from this rootsy Victoria, B.C. quartet. The record shifts between upbeat folk (the title track, Long Time Ago) and singalong-ready roots rock (the first single, Too Cold) with a fluidity and ease that could only come from continual touring.

Lonski and Classen give us their take on Coldplay song Don't Panic

indieberlin favourites Lonski and Classen poke their two-pronged head up to give Coldplay's Don't Panic a very LuC-ish treatment. Can this mean we're looking at a covers album from the deadly duo? Only time will tell....

The First 30 Seconds of Your Track Just Got More Important

The First 30 Seconds of Your Track Just Got More Important

I guess you know the basics for the moment: That Twitter #music is a discovery platform not a streaming platform in that it lets users discover music through artist and others’ Tweets, listen to their music using Spotify or Rdio, watch their videos on YouTube or Vevo and buy songs via iTunes. You won’t actually listen to music within the Twitter app unless it’s the 30 second iTunes preview of the track, to listen to the full track you’ll have to click through to one of the platforms that Twitter #music integrates with.

For bands: How to create the Perfect Pitch by Ariel Hyatt and Laura Allen

As a musician knocking on doors, you've usually got less than half a minute to convince the other person to listen to you. Laura Allen says that actually it's more like 15 seconds. And here's how you do it....

Meet the team - our new series featuring members of indieberlin - this time it's Eden van den Bogaard

After growing up in a small mountain town nestled in the mountains of Canada's West Coast, Eden knew there was much more waiting for her to discover. Since traveling throughout several continents and living in cities such as Vancouver and Montreal, she took advantage of her Dutch background and developed a base in Amsterdam. Shortly after, she started to pursue a career in PR and editorial while studying at Willem De Kooning Academy in Rotterdam. Following this, she completed an internship at Amsterdam's most loved publication: Subbacultcha! Magazine. While working shows, and assisting with editorial, production and promotional work, she also wrote for her own F A M E blog, and frequently wrote for Fier Management[an event management and fashion PR company based out of Berlin].
